About
AI how-tos for everyone, beginner to advanced
Easy AI How-To is a library of step-by-step guides for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and other AI tools. It starts with getting one ordinary job done in a chat app and goes all the way to calling models from code, building MCP servers, and testing AI apps. Every guide has a level, so you can start where you are.
This site does not run an AI model. You do the task in the product the guide links to. You do not need an account here.
Who the guides are for
Beginner guides are for someone summarizing a PDF, drafting an email, or opening Claude or Grok for the first time. They keep the site's original promise: no jargon, one action per step, and a free plan whenever one works.
Intermediate guides are for people who already chat with AI every week and want more out of it: Claude Projects, custom GPTs, real-time research with Grok, and prompt patterns that give consistent results.
Advanced guides are for developers and AI engineers: the Claude and xAI APIs, prompt caching, MCP servers, retrieval (RAG), and evals. They use code, and they still explain each term the first time it appears.
How a guide is written
Steps, model names, and code are checked against the companies’ own help pages and API docs. Each page shows the date it was checked. Beginner guides stick to free plans where they can. Advanced guides say when something costs money.
Button names move. When a label on your screen is different, the guide says to follow the action: attach the file, paste the prompt, read the answer against the original. Limits on free plans also move. The tips quote the limit that was published at the time of writing and tell you it can change.
The guides do not invent results. A summary can skip a page. A budget can mis-add. A logo can misspell the name. The last step is always some version of: look at it yourself before you send, pay, sign, or print.
What this site is not
- It is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Microsoft, Canva, or Perplexity.
- It does not sell those products. Sponsors are clearly labeled in the sponsor box, and they never change a guide's steps.
- It does not offer medical, legal, financial, or immigration advice. A few guides say so in the steps, because those tasks come up in real life.
- It does not collect an account, and the newsletter box is a placeholder. See the privacy page.
Adding a guide
New guides are added regularly across every level and tool. To suggest one, or to report a step that no longer matches the screen, email easyaihowtos@gmail.com.
